History of Willesden Green garden goes back to the 1930's. At the time station gardens were really popular and TFL personal was creating many gardens acoss the network.
Let's have a closer look at Platform 1 & Planter 2 located at the Willesden Green tube station where local community created a Willesden Green Garden. In side the Planter 2 you can find a white wishbone statue that commemorades World War 1 solders, two palms, two large roses, oleander
Local sculptor kindly donated a statue of little black cat to the Willesden Green Garden. Look out for him on Platform 4 inside the planter.
This is an exceptionally busy commuter line even though only one tube line stops – it is the Jubilee Line running from Stanmore to Stratford and you are in central London within 10 (Baker Street) minutes. Willesden Green is reckoned by Estate Agents to be one of the best Zone 2
